Our craftsman, Tom Maupin hand selects French and American Oak barrels from wineries located on the central coast of California. Wine barrels are chosen for their unique character and texture to enhance the design of the piece being created. Each piece is handcrafted using elements from selected retired wine barrels. Care is taken to retain the original character and texture of the barrel while creating an attractive piece for that special place in your home or garden. The natural variations in the barrel is reflected in the unique character of each creation. Tom finishes his beautiful creation with a Minwax wood sealer to enhance the natural character of the wine barrel and gives each piece a warm rich appearance. Each creation is treated with Thompson Water Seal to provide a moisture resistant finish; this allows each piece to endure the outdoor environment.
